Unizox 1Gm Injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections. It functions by stopping the formation of the bacteria’s cell. This results in the rupturing of the cell wall resulting in the subsequent death of the bacteria.
On using Unizox 1Gm Injection you may experience side effects such as vomiting, nausea, fever and diarrhea. If these allergic reactions continue or become severe and uncontrollable over time contact your health care provider as soon as possible.
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to any of the ingredients contained within Unizox 1Gm Injection, if you are allergic to any foods, medicines or substances, if you are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby, you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you have a history of diarrhoea, stomach pain, infection, skin rash, dizziness and difficulty in breathing.
The dosage should ideally be prescribed by your doctor based on your condition and medical history. The usual dosage is about 1-4 g by IV or IM with gaps of 8-12 hours. In case of severe cases you may be prescribed to take a dose of about 12 g per day.
