About Roko 2 MG Capsule

Roko capsule treats sudden diarrhea by slowing down the movement of the gut. This reduces bowel movements and makes stool less watery. It helps in treating gastroenteritis, short bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease. It also helps those with blood in the stool.

If you have any of the following conditions, inform your doctor before taking the capsule.

  • If you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • If you have mucus in your stool, bloody diarrhoea, fever, diarrhoea caused by food poisoning or bowel problems.
  • If you are using antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
  • If you have aids or liver problems.

    How does this medication work?

    This medicine acts on the opioid receptors present in the walls of the food pipe and reduces the rhythmic contraction known as peristalsis. This medicine also increases the tone of anal opening and reduces the sense of urgency associated with diarrhea.
