Hello, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles. I can understand how challenging it must be for you to try to quit alcohol, especially when facing the difficulties and temptations that come with it. Firstly, I want to commend you for taking the courageous step of seeking help and starting medication to support your journey towards sobriety. It's important to acknowledge that overcoming addiction is a process that takes time and persistence, and it's okay to ask for support along the way. While medication can be a helpful tool in managing withdrawal symptoms and cravings, it's also essential to address the underlying factors contributing to your alcohol use. Counselling or therapy can provide you with the necessary support, guidance, and coping strategies to navigate this process successfully. In addition to medication and therapy, here are some suggestions that may further support your efforts to quit alcohol: Establish a Support System: Surround yourself with understanding and supportive individuals who can encourage and motivate you on your journey. This could include friends those who don't drink, family members, support groups, or a counsellor. Identify Triggers: Take some time to reflect on the situations, emotions, or people that may trigger your urge to drink. Once identified, work on developing healthy coping mechanisms to manage these triggers effectively. Engage in Healthy Activities: Find alternative ways to occupy your time and distract yourself from thoughts of alcohol. Engage in activities that bring you joy, such as exercise- yoga, walking, hobbies, spending time in nature, or pursuing creative outlets. Practice Self-Care: Prioritize self-care activities that promote your overall well-being, such as getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals, practising relaxation techniques (e.g., deep breathing, meditation), and engaging in activities that reduce stress. Set Realistic Goals: Break down your goal of quitting alcohol into smaller, manageable steps. Celebrate your successes along the way, no matter how small, and be gentle with yourself if you experience setbacks. Incorporate Daily Routine: Establishing a daily routine can provide structure and stability to your life. Set aside time each day for activities such as yoga, pranayama, and meditation, which can help reduce stress and promote mindfulness. Remember, recovery is a journey, and it's okay to seek help and support along the way. You've already taken the first step by reaching out for assistance, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. If you'd like to discuss further or explore additional resources, please feel free to reach out. You're not alone in this, and together, we can work towards a healthier and happier future. Keep up the great work, Manoj! Your commitment to overcoming challenges and improving your well-being is truly inspiring. Remember, each step you take towards sobriety is a testament to your strength and resilience. Take care and stay strong,

Sir, I would like to suggest test like c peptide assay & gad antibody to confirm the type of diabetes. Their is a distant possibility of lada. Insulin is the only option if such is the case. I also would like to know whether you are obese and how diabetes was suspectes and diagnosed initially.

IT should be taken with meals to help reduce stomach or bowel side effects that may occur during the first few weeks of treatment. Swallow the tablet or extended-release tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew it. While taking the extended-release tablet, part of the tablet may pass into your stool after your body has absorbed the medicine. This is normal and nothing to worry about.

Thank you for contacting us. A proper detailed history needs to be assessed like duration of pain, type of pain whether it is pin prick type or associated with any numbness, for how long the pain lasts in each episode is required to arrive at a definitive diagnosis. Further a mri scan may be helpful if ct scan is normal. Pain can be managed by additional drug therapy or interventional pain managemnt procedure where in nerve carrying pain sensations from the region are blocked.

Dear lybrate-user, lycomet gp1 has metformin and glimiperide, metformin makes insulin work better and glimiperide stimulates secretion of insulin from your pancreas. Watch out for low sugar symptoms after you have made the change reduce the quantity of carbohydrate (rice, wheat, rava, maida) in each meal and increase the quantity of protein (dhal, egg white, fish or chicken). Monitor blood sugars with glucometer as follows. Fasting and pp on wednesday and 2 hour after lunch and after dinner on sunday and maintain a record. Target fasting < 120 pp < 160 mg/dl if in spite of dietary adjustment you sugar levels continue to be high and if your hba1c is more than 8 % seek a consultation to adjust your anti-diabetic drugs.

The increased heart is due to the effect of diabetes on our system and also alcohol by itself will produce an increased heart rate.
