About Gatilox 400 MG Injection

Gatilox 400 MG Injection is an antibiotic that is used to treat infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis. Remember, that it is an antibiotic and thus will treat eye infections that are caused by bacteria only and not the others.

Don’t stop taking the medicine prematurely as it might cause a relapse of the infection. If you have been using other drops for your eyes, it is advised to wait for some time before you use them.

Gatilox 400 MG Injection has certain side effects that include watery or blurred eyes, headaches, irritation of the eyes, pain, redness of the eyes and a bad oral taste. However, none of these should persist and should they bother you, seek prompt guidance from your doctor. Persistent adverse effects such as eye irritation, swelling of the eyelids as well as redness must be brought to the doctor’s attention without any delay. Remember that there’s always a possibility of new fungal infections if you use this drug beyond the prescribed time.

Although rare, an allergic response to this medicine cannot be ruled. Report to the doctor right away if you experience any irritation, swelling or redness of the eyes along with rashes, itching, swelling of the throat and nose combined with breathing difficulties.

Use Gatilox 400 MG Injection cautiously during pregnancy. Discuss with your doctor the possibility of any complication cropping up. Steer clear of it if you have had any allergic reaction to quinolone antibiotics in the past.
