Homoeopathy is an alternative form of medicine that relies on customized treatment and unconventional diagnostic methods to cure a patient. Homoeopathy differs from conventional medicine in several key ways and has incorporated a few unique tenets into itself. The main principles of homoeopathy are-

• It believes in treating a disorder with the same thing that caused it, in smaller amounts. If a certain chemical produces some symptoms in the body, small doses of the same chemical are used to treat those symptoms in homoeopathy.

• Homoeopathy believes in treating the root cause of a disease rather than the effects or symptoms.

• Homoeopathy believes there is a different and tailor-made remedy to a disease for every individual, even if the disease is the same. No universal treatment exists in homoeopathy.

As homoeopathy believes in tailor-made treatment and use of chemicals to heal diseases, it steers away from conventional medicines and strives towards lifestyle changes like diets and exercise to help re-build health.

Following are the dietary changes homoeopathy endorses, for treatment of chronic diseases-

• Converting to whole-material foods- Whole-material food provides several nutritional benefits in comparison to refined material products. You can make the switch in your diet with respect to whole bread or rice, picking them over white or refined bread and rice. A host of benefits will be added to your diet, which is helpful in fighting chronic diseases. These include reducing diabetes risk and increasing lifespan.

• Discarding mayonnaise- Mayonnaise contains a host of unhealthy products in it, which can worsen your health by adding too much fat or cholesterol. In sandwiches or snacks, you can convert to a healthier alternative. You can start using mustard paste. Not only does it do away with the harmful substances, but it also boosts your health and wards off chronic disease risk.

• Incorporating flaxseed into your diet- Flaxseed is a compound that works wonders for your health if incorporated into your diet. You can begin by adding them to yoghurt products and milk products you consume, and gradually increase your consumption thereafter.

Homoeopathy is a form of medicine that stresses tailor-made remedies for patients and endorses lifestyle changes to fight diseases. Changing your diet is one of the essential components, and you can do it in the aforementioned ways.
