Hello I would like to mention about some of the ENERGY CONSERVATION STRATEGIES (ways to reduce joint stress and reduce pain) which will help to reduce the joint pain in fingers: 1. Must try applying the combination of ICED water and Warm water one at a time for about 10-15 minutes. Place both the hands in warm water first for 10 minutes followed by iced water for 3 minutes and end with warm water immersion again for 10-15 minutes. This will reduce pain and relax painful muscles around small joints in fingers. 2. Make use of larger joints around the wrist instead of using small finger joints. Examples: lifting bags with both the hands and keeping close to the body, opening the door knob using all the fingers around the knob 3. Open and close fingers, bend all fingers backwards only till the point of pain. Can do this for 5-10 times with gentle speed in a day. Preferably early morning to avoid stiffness and more pain 4. Squeeze all your fingers on a towel within the painful limits. Perform 3-5 times initially and after pain subsides, continue for 6-10 times. Feel free to ask questions later on. Take care.
