Mr Hitesh, Please tel me know since when you have been diagnosed as a a diabetic patient? Is it T1DM? Are you on insulin injections? If yes, what is the type of insulin being taken and dosage? Blood sugar control needs adequate dosage of Insulin or anti diabetic drugs, plus diet control and physical activity.
If there are 2-3 patients in home or if someone is on Insulin then only buy glucometer but if your sugar is under control then checking it in lab once a 2mths is good for you instead of frequently n unnecessarily checking on glucometer. Regards.
We can consider it to be normal and in glucometer we check capillary blood and in laboratory we check venous blood and hence there is variation in reading of 10-20 points.
