Hi lybrate-user, fever and urinary tract is very common these days. Let me suggest some home remedies for the same. 1. Amla is one of the most potent natural treatments for bacterial infections that affect the urinary tract. This is thanks to its high content of vitamin C and antibacterial compounds. Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of Indian gooseberry powder (5 g) 1 cup of water (250 ml) How should you use it? :First, add a teaspoon of gooseberry powder to a cup of water and bring it to a boil, until half the water evaporates. Then, let it sit until it reaches a comfortable temperature and consume this up to three times a day. 2. Baking Soda - Baking soda has alkaline properties that help restore the pH of your urine to control an infection by cleansing your urinary ducts. Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of baking soda (5 g) 1 cup of water (200 ml) How should you use it? - Add a teaspoon of baking soda to a cup of water and drink this twice a day. 3. Pineapple - Pineapple contains an enzyme known as bromelain whose anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties help control the symptoms of urinary tract infections. Consuming pineapple increases the production of urine by your kidneys and also alleviates irritation in the urinary ducts and bladder. How should you use it? - Eat one cup of chopped pineapple (150 g) a day. In addition, you can also make a juice with pineapple and ginger and drink this two to three times a day. Hope this helps. Tell me foods and juices that increase male sperm count but it should not increase sex feelings.
1. Eggs Eggs are considered a great option to increase sperm count, as well as improve their motility. High in vitamin E and full of protein, eating eggs protect sperm cells from the free radicals that can decrease your count. These nutrients assist in the production of strong and healthy sperm, which is important to fertility. 2. Spinach Folic acid is vital to the development of healthy sperm. Spinach and other types of leafy green vegetables are a rich source of this vitamin. When your folate levels are low, there is a greater chance you will produce malformed sperm. This will lead to sperm that will have a hard time reaching the egg and penetrating its protective barrier. Also, there is a greater chance of birth defects because of the faulty sperms chromosomal abnormalities. 3. Bananas Bananas are full of vitamin A, B1 and C, which help your body produce healthier sperm, as well as increase your sperm productivity. This tropical fruit also contains a rare enzyme called Bromelain. This is a natural anti-inflammatory enzyme which also boosts sperm count and motility. 4. Dark Chocolate Dark chocolate is often associated with lust filled rendezvous. Strawberries dipped in chocolate next to a glass of champagne on a bedside table greet many a guest during their honeymoon. What you probably didn't know is dark chocolate is great for your sperm count as well. It contains an amino acid called L-Arginine HCL known to increase semen volume and sperm count. It has also been rumored to increase orgasm intensity.

5 Foods That Help You Beat the Heat!

As much as you would like, an ice cream can't help you cool down in the scorching heat of this summer. Although one may argue that one feels just fine after an ice cream, the truth is that it's only temporary. Cooling foods are what you should have as they help to cool heat and cleanse toxins from the body.
Here are some of the foods that help cool down your body naturally:
1) Cucumber - Not surprisingly, being 'cool as a cucumber' actually holds true. Cucumbers are fruits that help keep the body hydrated. Keeping your body cool during hot days is vital to your health as it can help prevent a number of complications such as heat strokes and dehydration. Munching on cucumber slices and hummus is a good way to beat the heat and stay cool.
2) Watermelon - This quintessential beach fruit is yet another one which would help you beat the heat. This seasonal fruit acts like an internal air-conditioner, and is rich in water, helping in reducing body heat to a large extent while keeping you hydrated.

3) Peaches - Peaches are not only delicious but are very rich in vitamins A and C, which help in keeping your body cool. Besides, these vitamins also help in maintaining healthy skin and provide useful calories to the body.
4) Apples - Apples are fruits that help to fill you up and cool down your body at the same time. They contain about 4g of fiber and around 95 calories and are enriched with a soluble fiber called pectin, which stops hunger and helps in shedding weight.
5) Pineapple - Along with banana, cucumber, and some other fruits, pineapple helps to make a healthy smoothie. These ingredients have cooling properties, which hydrate the body and help to clear the heat. Also, pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, which reduces inflammation in the body.

Why is my period late? possible reasons for a missed period

Your menstrual cycle is controlled by hormones, which, if imbalanced, can cause irregularities to your menstrual cycle and period flow. The most common cause is a fluctuation in your hormones (especially when it affects your estrogen levels):

Medication and contraception; hormonal birth control methods such as the pill or the injection can affect your period.

If you find that irregular periods are taking over or making your day-to-day life difficult, then visit your doctor for a health check. If your periods suddenly change, you should also go see a doctor. Maybe it’s because of stress, but better to rule out any other causes for sure.

3 easy ways to regulate your period naturally

2.     Pineapples can help individuals fight infections.

Vitamin C is a powerful natural water-soluble antioxidant that helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and eliminates cancer-causing free radicals in the body. This is done by stimulating the activity of white blood cells and acting as an antioxidant to defend against the harmful effects of free radicals.

3.     Pineapples can help fight coughs and colds.

Aside from the fighting infections with vitamin C, pineapples contain a special enzyme called bromelain that is associated with reducing phlegm and mucus build up in the respiratory tracts and sinus cavities.

4.     Pineapples will improve digestive health.

Pineapples are formidable sources of fiber. Fiber can help prevent constipation, making one’s bowel movement easier to manage. The daily recommended dietary fiber intake for men and women are 38 grams and 25 grams, respectively.

5.     Pineapples can help maintain a healthy blood pressure.

6.     Pineapples can help improve the heart’s health.

Fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and potassium have been known to improve the heart’s health. One study suggested that individuals who consumed 4069 mg of potassium per day had a 49 percent lower risk of death from ischemic heart disease compared with those who consumed less potassium, about 1000 mg per day.

There are a variety of supplements that can be taken that have reported benefits for the natural treatment of gout.

  • Vitamin c may reduce uric acid. Some experts recommend taking sodium ascorbate as it is less acidic than ascorbic acid; the typical recommended dosage is 500-1000mg twice daily, but you should discuss this with your physician.
  • Apple cider vinegar reportedly makes the body more alkaline. Apple cider vinegar for gout may help with gout symptoms. The recommended daily dose is 1-2 tablespoons in 8 ounces of water. This can be sipped throughout the day.
  • Baking soda is another reported natural treatment for gout and is supposedly a pain reliever. To try this treatment, mix ½ teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink in one sitting. This can be repeated several times throughout the day, with the maximum daily dosage being four teaspoons of baking soda in one day, and should be decreased as pain improves.
  • Bromelain is a compound that is found in pineapple; it can also be purchased as a supplement. It is thought to be a highly effective compound in treating gout and may even have anti-cancer benefits.
  • Castor oil can be used topically to relieve pain. Soak an old cloth with castor oil and apply to the affected joint. Wrap the fabric and joint with plastic wrap and an ace bandage. If you do not have any issues with neuropathy, apply heat to the joint as well. Leave on overnight.
  • Epsom salts baths can be relaxing and also relieve pain. Place 1-2 cups of epsom salts in a warm bath and soak for 20 minutes. You can also use a footbath if you desire just to soak your feet; place 1/3 cup of epsom salts in the footbath with warm water.

3. Using food as a natural treatment for gout:-

Changing your diet is one of the ways you can treat gout effectively. There are some types of foods which offer an anti-inflammatory defense and others which lower uric acid levels.

1. Coffee – whether it is regular or decaf – appears to lower uric acid levels.

2. Cherries – both cherries and cherry extract – reduce uric acid levels in the blood, as well as decrease the number of gout flare-ups.

3. Blueberries and blackberries – these berries are loaded with a type of antioxidant which helps to protect the arterial walls damaged by gout. You can reduce inflammation by adding blackberries and blueberries into your diet.

4. Folic acid – this b vitamin is commonly given with b6 or b12 to reduce homocysteine levels, an amino acid that causes high uric acid levels.

 Importance of prenatal nutrition

Important nutrition tips for gout:-

Some foods containing purines are fine to eat as long as you are thoroughly hydrated. In addition to hydration, there are other dietary and lifestyle factors to monitor in order to stay pain free.

  • Lay off soda – sugary drinks like non-diet sodas are some of the most common perpetrators for gout pain. Fructose, the highly concentrated sugar in soda, has been attributed as the cause of gout inflammation. Quit drinking soda altogether or switch to diet soda. Patients with gout had no incidences of diet soda causing gout pain.
  • Avoid crash dieting – trying to lose weight quick (crash dieting) causes not only your blood sugar levels to rise and fall drastically, but your uric acid levels as well. People who crash diet are often dehydrated as a result, which has been proven to exacerbate gout pain.

Gout pain relief options:-

1. Drink lots of water – several studies have linked a high water intake to lower incidences of gout pain. The amount of water each individual should drink daily depends on their current medical conditions.

2. Eat low fat dairy products – in recent studies, individuals who consumed a serving or more of low fat milk each day were observed to have less uric acid in their blood. Low fat dairy has been shown to help the body excrete uric acid due to its high protein and low purine content.

3. Avoid certain medications – cyclosporine is a drug that is used to treat chronic eye infections by increasing tear production. Unfortunately, one of its side effects is the production of excess uric acid in the blood, leading to gout.
