About Phenosulf Eye Drop

Phenosulf Eye Drop is a drug that is used as an eye drop in case of eye infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and thereby preventing the spreading or worsening of the disease. The drug is of an antibiotic nature the dosage should be administered based on a number of health conditions. It is for topical application in the eyes only in conditions such as conjunctivitis.

The drug is contraindicated in patients who have suffered or are suffering from herpes or renal malfunctioning. Take proper medical help in case you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy any time soon or breastfeeding. You must also inform the doctor of any other prescription drugs that you may be taking, such as hormonal pills as oral contraceptives, or any dietary supplements as Phenosulf Eye Drop may interact with the other drugs and cause a number of health complications. Some side effects include persistent headaches, burning sensation in the eyes, irritation and redness of the sclera of the eyes, vision changes or blurred eyesight, inflammation of the conjunctiva. It may even lead to corneal ulcers or damage of the nerves in the eyes. Therefore even the slightest discomfort should be reported to the doctor immediately, in order to avoid complications.
