About Namspas Tablet

It is an antispasmodic, primarily used to treat muscle cramps caused during menstruation in women. Patients who suffer from colicky pain due to intestinal, biliary, ureteric colic and women having extreme menstrual pain can consume this medication. Apart from this, this medication is also helpful in managing pain associated due to any jerk or movement in the intestine, gall duct and urinary tract.

This medication relieves pain caused in women during the menstrual cycle by relaxing the muscles of the stomach, thus reducing the symptoms of stomach cramping. It is a composition of two medicine, Dicyclomine and Mefenamic Acid that helps by inhibiting sudden muscle contractions, to provide relief from cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort during menstruation.

People with a history of glaucoma, enlarged prostate, high blood pressure, myasthenia gravis, liver, heart, kidney or thyroid problems should consult a doctor before taking Namspas tablet. Furthermore, it is strictly advisable that pregnant women and breastfeeding women must not consume this medication.

Namspas tab side effects are dizziness, dry eyes, weakness, blurred vision, bloating and dry mouth. Irregular heartbeat, decreased sexual ability, loss of coordination, improper functioning of the bladder and slurred speech. Above are some of the severe side effects if you take higher doses. Therefore, it is important that you take the namspas medicine only when prescribed and that too inaccurate dosage. It is to be taken orally, with or without food, as advised by the doctor.
