Itrostred 100Mg Capsule

Belonging to the drug group azole antifungals, Itrostred capsule is useful for the treatment of a variety of fungal infections. It works by stopping the fungal growth in the body, thus relieving you from the infections caused by them.

Your doctor should be informed if you have any of the following health conditions:

• Any heart disease, including heart failure or angina.
• A medical history of irregular heartbeats.
• Kidney disease or if you are undergoing dialysis.
• Liver or lung disease.
• Pregnancy or if planning to conceive or if you are a breastfeeding woman.
• Allergic reactions to medications, food and preservatives.

The dosage of this medication will be decided by your doctor based on your age, health condition and reaction to the first dose. Follow the instructions given by your doctor regarding the number of dosage in a day. In case you miss a dose, you can take it as soon as you remember it. However, it is advised not to take two doses together to make up for a missed one.

  The effect of this medicine lasts for an average duration of 16 to 28 hours.

• What is the onset of action?

  The peak effect of this medicine can be observed in 2 hours for an oral solution and 5 hours for a capsule.

  This medicine is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Consult your doctor about the potential benefits and risks before deciding to take this medicine.

• Is it habit forming?

  No habit forming tendencies were reported.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dosage then the missed dose can be skipped.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Inform your doctor immediately if you are experiencing symptoms of overdose.

This drug is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.
