Grilinctus-Bm 2.5Mg/8Mg Tablet
About Grilinctus-Bm 2.5Mg/8Mg Tablet
Grilinctus-Bm 2.5Mg/8Mg Tablet is a combination medicine consisting of Terbutaline and Bromhexine. It is used to treat the cough and helps us to get rid of the symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and itching.
Grilinctus-Bm 2.5Mg/8Mg Tablet works on the basis of various mechanisms. It facilitates relaxing of the muscles of the airway, thereby widening it. It makes the air move easily inwards and outwards. The syrup also loosen the thick mucus, making it easier to cough it out. It provides relief from common allergic symptoms, thus helping with the breathing process. This enables us to do our regular activities easily and comfortably.
It is not to be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to a sympathomimetic amine like epinephrine and albuterol. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. While beta blockers may decrease its effectiveness, insulin’s effectiveness is decreased if taken along with this drug.
Maintain adequate hydration (2-3 L/day of fluids unless instructed to restrict fluid intake). You may experience nervousness, dizziness, or fatigue (use caution when driving or engaging in tasks requiring alertness until response to drug is known); or dry mouth, stomach upset (frequent small meals, frequent mouth care, chewing gum, or sucking hard candy may help).
Some common side effects associated with the use of Grilinctus-Bm 2.5Mg/8Mg Tablet include nausea, bloating, diarrhoea, indigestion, headache, palpitations, headache, tremor, sweating and skin rashes. These symptoms resolve in most of the cases without any treatment. However, they become a serious concern if they remain persistent and chronic.
In cases of overdose, supportive therapy should be instituted; prudent use of a cardioselective beta-adrenergic blocker (eg, atenolol or metoprolol) should be considered, keeping in mind the potential for induction of bronchoconstriction in an asthmatic individual. Dialysis has not been shown to be of value in the treatment of an overdose with this agent.
