About Foracort 0.5mg Respules 2ml

This is a combination medication which has Formoterol and Budesonide as active ingredients. It is widely used for treating asthma. It is also used for preventing breathing problems caused by exercise. This medication is also used for long-term management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Foracort is a long-acting beta-agonist bronchodilator. It widens the airways in the lungs which in turn helps you breathe more easily.

If you are allergic to milk protein or any ingredient in this medication, do not use it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of diabetes, low blood potassium levels, and heart problems. Apart from this, blood vessel problems, high blood pressure, an adrenal gland tumor, seizures, or thyroid problems.

Continue to use this medication even if you feel well for as long as it has been prescribed. Some of its common side effects are dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mild sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, nausea, stomach pain or upset, nervousness, tiredness tremor and trouble sleeping.

It results in the activation of intracellular adenyl cyclase which catalyzes the conversion of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic-3'',5''-adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and leads to bronchodilation. Also, it works by inhibiting the release of multiple cell types (mast cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes) and mediators (histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, and cytokines) that cause inflammation thus helps in the treatment of allergic disorders and reduces inflammation.
