Emend Capsule is an antiemetic drug, which is given to patients undergoing chemotherapy to prevent nausea and vomiting. It works by blocking the body's natural substances or chemicals that cause these conditions. It is generally prescribed along with other antiemetic medications. Also note that Fosaprepitant cannot treat the nausea and vomiting that may have already started.

Emend Capsule can cause allergic reaction in some patients, causing symptoms like flushing, redness, itching, trouble breathing, and swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Apart from that some common side effects of this medicine include heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue or hiccups, thirst, tightness in the chest, sore throat. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of the following symptoms after using Emend Capsule- feeling light-headed, feel like fainting, slow heart rate, pale skin, easy bruising or bleeding, blurred vision, chills.
