Dytor Plus 20 Tablet
Dytor tablet is a combination of Spironolactone, Torsemide and is used to treat conditions of high blood pressure, heart failure, edema and low potassium levels. This medicine is also used to cure a condition where too much aldosterone (hormone) is produced by the adrenal glands. This hormone is responsible for maintaining the salt and water balance in the body.
You should not use this medication if you have a kidney, liver or heart disease, high levels of potassium, an adrenal gland disorder or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding women.

This medication is an antagonist that acts via binding of the receptors at the site of potassium exchange within distal renal tubules. It allows for excretion of excess amounts of water and sodium. Secondly, it belongs to the class loop diuretics. It reduces the blood pressure by inhibiting Na-K-2Cl reabsorption at ascending loop of Henle. This helps in increasing the excretion of water and sodium.
