About Cepodem AZ 200 mg/250 mg Tablet

This tablet are used for treating mild infections caused by bacteria. it is used to treat infections like bronchitis, urinary tract infections, infections that develop in the ear, throat, or nose, and gonorrhea. This medication is available as a tablet and is generally taken with 12 hours intervals. It can be taken for anywhere between 5 – 14 days, depending on the severity of one’s infection.

If you experience any of these side effects, you should let your doctor know so that they can make them stop. This medication can have side effects that are minor and go away on their own, as well as major side effects such as

  • Jealousy
  • Abdominal pain
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Vaginal itching
  • Rashes
  • White discharge from the vagina

    How does this medication work?

    This medication belongs to 3rd generation cephalosporins. It works as a bactericidal by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins and inhibits the bacterial cell wall synthesis. Also, it inhibits protein synthesis by binding itself to 50S ribosomal subunits of the sensitive micro-organism. It infringes with transpeptidation and translocation. Thus, It inhibits protein synthesis and cell growth.
