About Seroflo 250 Inhaler

Seroflo 250 Inhaler helps to prevent and control symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. The symptoms it treats include shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing and chest tightness. It also averts difficulties in breathing during exercise.

The dosage and duration of use of Seroflo 250 Inhaler must be according to the prescription of the doctor. A missed dose must be made up for as soon as you remember. However, wait for 12 hours before administering the next dose.

Seroflo 250 Inhaler must not be prescribed to patients who are allergic to the medicine or other medicines like long-acting beta-agonist, azole anti-fungal or macrolide antibiotic medicine. Precautions must be taken while using Seroflo 250 Inhaler if you are prone to frequent attacks of asthma.

The frequent side effects of using Seroflo 250 Inhaler include ear, nose, and throat infection, dryness of nose; weight gain; allergic eye disorders; eye oedema and swelling, dryness of nose; weight gain; allergic eye disorders; eye oedema and swelling, disorders of the hard tissue of teeth; haemorrhoids; gastrointestinal gaseous symptoms; abdominal discomfort and pain; constipation; oral abnormalities; muscle cramps and spasms; musculoskeletal inflammation; bone and skeletal pain; sleep disorders; migraines; allergies and allergic reactions; viral infections; congestion; inflammation. However, the side effects usually do not require any medical attention. Other serious but rare side effects include tachycardia; arrhythmias, arthralgia and articular rheumatism; bacterial infections; candidiasis unspecified site; bacterial reproductive infections.

    Seroflo 250 Inhaler acts as a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist. It works by stimulating the intracellular enzyme called adenyl cyclase, which initiates the process of transformation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic 3’,5’-adenosine monophosphate (AMP). This relaxes the bronchial smooth muscle and inhibits the release of immediate hypersensitivity mediators from mast cells. And it also binds to the glucocorticoid receptor with high affinity. It is also thought to inhibit cytosolic phospholipase A2, which controls the biosynthesis of potent inflammation mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation.
