Most of the brands of green tea available in the market are ok. Some brands are lemon flavoured, ginger flavoured, that will add taste to the tea. Brewing; 1. Boil the water >200degrees c 2. If dip tea, dip for 10 minutes, stir and drink it. 3. If powdered leaves put in the boiled water for 10 minutes, filter and drink it. 4. If you are not diabetic add one teaspoon of honey, good for health. Leaves are not sold as green tea leaves in market. If you go yo some tea estate you can get as a friendly gesture.

Dear sir, I am 24 years old. I take green tea every morning instead of milk tea but I add honey and lemon in green tea. Will it be beneficial for my health or I stop using honey with green tea or can I take only lemon and honey together with warm water. Please suggested me. Thank you.

Dear lybrate user, -It is beneficial to have green tea mixed with honey & lemon in the morning -green tea has oxidents , honey boosts the immunity & helps fight infections, it also provides instant energy to kick start your metabolism in the morning, lemon provides vit C to the body which is again an antioxidant & also helps fight infections.

You are under wrong impression that green tea, lemon tea, honey, daalchini and black jeera will reduce your weight. You have been misguided by these myths and false assumptions which are convenietly believed by everyone since it looks like a nice short Cuts. You need to realise that these short cuts only lead you to a dead end. Please realise that there is NO medicine / herb / food / drink / supplements / shakes to burn fat or reduce weight. Your weight can only be reduced by regular healthy food and daily exercise and mind training. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * for thighs - work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. To reduce the tummy, * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * lie down on plain surface, put your hands on the back of head by folding your elbows, now move your head towads the knees try to touch your knees with forehead and then move back and lie down. Repeat it for 5-10 times daily for flat tummy. * do surya namaskar yoga everyday, as surya namaskar have 12 forms of yoga. Do it for in morning everyday to get in shape in short period. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories.

Hi if your blood sugar is very well controlled, with fasting near 100 mg and pp 150 to 160 mg/100 ml, hba1c% <7, then a small quantity of honey may be taken. Honey is basically same as cane sugar, but it also has some other additional benefits of anti oxidants and vitamins. But it will sure increase blood glucose level.
