About Renerve-G Capsule

The capsule is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent seizures. It belongs to a class of drugs called anticonvulsants. Aside from seizures, the capsule is also used to cure hot flashes, restless legs syndrome (RLS) and postherpetic neuralgia. It treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerve responsible for these pains and seizures.

Before taking this medicine inform your doctor of the following conditions mentioned below:

  • If you are already prone to epileptic or other kinds of seizure attacks.
  • If you have diabetes.

    How does this medication work?

    This capsule works via a dual mechanism and includes medicine Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. It is used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Gabapentin works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. Methylcobalamin acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine.
