About Apidra 100Iu Injection

Apidra 100Iu Injection is an artificial form of insulin which replicates natural insulin in human body and is used in the treatment of high blood sugar and diabetes. It starts functioning faster than normal insulin but lasts shorter as well. Only difference between natural human body produced insulin and this is it replaces the position of amino acid asparagines. Apidra 100Iu Injection is used for treating both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It blends the blood sugar with the cells and thereby produce energy.

Apidra 100Iu Injection is injected into the body after cleaning the site, you should change site to prevent any skin complications. This is usually self injected by the patient, but for them who can’t self-inject, help from medical representative should be sought. Meal should be eaten within 15 minutes of the injection.

There might be some problems and irritations at the injection site. After taking the medicine if meal is not consumed properly it may result in low blood sugar- the symptoms of which are sweating abruptly, shaking, fast heartbeat, dizziness etc. If blood sugar suddenly falls then immediate consumption of high sugary food is necessary. The symptoms of high blood sugar are excessive urination, increased thirst, flushing etc.
