Spondylitis is an inflammatory disease that can cause some of the vertebrae in the spine to fuse together. This fusing, in turn, makes the spine less flexible and can lead to a hunched-forward posture. If ribs are affected, it may be difficult to breathe. Early symptoms of Spondylitis includes pain in the lower back and hips, pain in the cartilage between the breastbone and ribs, and many more.

HOW IS SPONDYLITIS TREATED?
Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed. If this doesn't help then TNF blockers are suggested. Physiotherapy can be very helpful and in worst cases surgery is suggested. Homeopathic medicines also help in treating spondylitis.
