Yes, flax seeds are warm by nature, according to ayurveda garam tasir, ut increases pitta fire element in the body. Though they are very nutritional and healthy for body bt advisable to take in winter season.
If you want you can roast it or without roasting also you can grind it. U can add them in normal water and can have it. Can.also sprinkle on fruits and have. Can add in yogurt also. On roasting it doesn't loose any nutrients.
Flax seeds may be crushed and added to any recepies. They are available all over India at departmental stores. You must chew flax seeds well before swallowing for maximum benefit.
