Nosebleeds may appear too scary but they are a common thing, especially in children. The condition rarely indicates any serious medical issue.
HOW IS NOSEBLEEDS DIAGNOSED?
The provider will perform a physical exam. In some cases, the patient may be watched for signs and symptoms of low blood pressure from losing blood, also called hypovolemic shock. The various tests suggested by the doctor include:
• Complete blood count
• Nasal endoscopy (examination of the nose using a camera)
• Partial thromboplastin time measurements
• Prothrombin time (PT)
• CT scan of the nose and sinuses
HOW IS NOSEBLEEDS TREATED?
While Nosebleeds Can be treated at home, in most of the cases, the doctor prescribes medication to treat Nose Bleed.
