About Telvas-3D Tablet

This medication belongs to a family of drugs that are used to treat high blood pressure. It is a combination medicine containing ARB, CCB and diuretic. Also, it is effective in reducing the risk of serious conditions such a stroke, heart attacks, heart conditions and even death.

This medication works by widening and dilating the blood vessels, which relaxes them. It also helps the kidney flush out excess salt and water, thus reducing the blood pressure. Thus, this tablet is highly effective in treating hypertension.

These side effects are minor and usually disappear within a week or two. If they continue for a prolonged period, consult your doctor. The common side effects of this medication are diarrhea, headache, vomiting, nausea, chest congestion, fatigue, body and muscle aches. The major side effects include

    How does this medication work?

    This medication displaces angiotensin II with very high affinity from its binding site at the AT1 receptor subtype, which is responsible for the known actions of angiotensin II. Also, it works by inhibiting the entry of calcium into the cardiac and vascular smooth muscles and prevents the contraction of the muscles and thereby reduces the blood pressure. Lastly, it inhibits a sodium-chloride symporter SLC12A3 in the distal convoluted tubule to inhibit water reabsorption in the nephron. The symporter reabsorbs sodium and creates an osmotic gradient for water to be reabsorbed, inhibition of which prevents water reabsorption.
