Your father's problem of gas, burning and tingling sensation in hands and legs. This may have developed over a period of time. Very effective treatment is available in homoeopathy for this chronic problem. Homeopathic treatment is painless and safe. No side effects. You need comprehensive treatment and it takes some time. Dear sir, I have high cholesterol and I've been on Tonact EZ 10 mg for the last 2 years. My cholesterol are under control and I make sure I do some physical activity everyday in the form of exercise or sports. Question is can I stop taking this tablets. If not, can I opt for Atorlip EZ (Cipla Ltd) which has same composition and is very economical? Will it have any difference or any side effects. Thank you, Vijay Pereira.

EZ is a medicine with very little positive health benefits, probably should never be taken. And tonact is for blockage patients, very rarely beneficial for any other case. Rethink why you are taking medicines for long periods without proof of benefits. For more information please discuss on phone Atorlip ez and tonact 3rd are interchangeable.

Yes it is good for him.& it will affect the blood pressure mildly. But. In general every patient who has a significant blockage in the heart or has a history of heart attack should be on at least 4 types of medications 1) antiplatelets which increase the clotting time of blood and decrease chances of future heart attacks and Re-stenosis of the stent. Initially you are kept on two types of antiplatelets and depending upon your disease and your progress your then shifted to single antiplatelet after 6 months or 1 year.  Eg: ecosprin, clopidogrel, Prasugrel, brillianta 2) Statins - are cholesterol lowering medications which are supposed to again prevent future heart attacks.  Eg. Tonact / atorvas 3) ARB / ACE Inhibitors - which help decreasing pressure on the heart and prevents remodeling injuries. Eg. Cardace / telma 4) Beta Blockers - They decrease the heart rate thereby reducing the work load on the heart and decrease BP also.  eg. Atenolol / Betaloc / metolar /bisoprolol usually all post angioplasty patients are kept on at least these 4 types of medications and depending upon the side effects and contraindications of medications are changed and slowly over period of time the dosage of these medications are decreased depending upon the recovery Get back to me with the reports for a detailed consultation.

Hello, my husband age 32 years is on tonact TG 10/160 once a day. He is having high LDL and triglyceride levels since 2 years. The strip comes for RS 300 for 15 days. Can I use any other substitute which will cost lesser but with no reduced action? Should alcohol be completely banned with tonact TG? What are the side effects in long term? Doctor said he has to take tonact TG lifelong. I'm worried.

Tonact should be used by patients of blockages, rarely for any other reasons. TG has no use for heart, it is rarely required, mainly when there is risk of pancreatitis. Suggest you discuss his health on phone, unnecessary medicines can be harmful, specially if taken long term.
