Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details. However, you have mentioned only tsh value, nothing about t3 & t4. It is necessary to know those values also. Tsh 4.6 mu/l is not really high. It must be with in the normal range mentioned in your lab report. In uncontrolled hypothyroidism tsh invariably goes uch higher and t4 values also may be low. Please come back with all the values also mention your weight & height. Thanks.
"dear Lybrate user thanks for sending across your query. Pls get you ft3, ft4, tsh done to check weather levels are normal or you need to increase a decrease the dosage of medicine.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I have seen the details mentioned. The tsh level & dosage of levothyroxine mentioned are not so relevant today. So if you are having symptoms of hypothyroidism now, it is essential to recheck the thyroid profile and based on that the present dosage will have to be decided. It is also essential to know your current weight and height. It is also necessary for you to get lipid profile done because in hypothyroidism lipids get deranged. If you have any further questions please do come back. My suggestion is please do the necessary tests and then post the results through a private conversation so that I will be able to prescribe necessary medication. In this communication we are supposed to give only general advise, no drugs can be prescribed or recommended. Since you had pretty high tsh earlier, it is absolutely essential to restart the treatment with appropriate dosage. Another aspect is that treatment of hypothyroidism has to be taken for lifetime. It should not be discontunued. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Madam, I am sure your doctor must have informed about what steps need to be taken during pregnancy for a hypothyroid patient. During the gestation period (9 months of pregnancy) it is essential to test thyroid profile once a month (once every 4 weeks). Because tsh needs to be specifically monitored. In 1st trimester it should be 0.1 to 2.5 mu/l, 2nd trimester 0.2 to 3.00 mu/l & in 3rd trimester 0.3 to 3 mu/l for appropriate growth and for normal or expected out come of pregnancy. Now as your tsh is much higher than the recommended range, increase the dosage of levothyroxine to 25 mcg per day. Then check the levels again after 4 weeks. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
Mam no need to repeat tpo antibody it is always elevated, it is cause of your thyroid start thyronorm patanaji or hoempathy is waste of time and money.

It may be. So for every hypothyroid patient it's advices to repeat tsh value every 3 to 4 months. Other than that vitamin d deficiency is another major cause causing back pain. Do a vitamin d3 25 (oh) and a x tay for lumbar spine ap and lateral view along with tsh.
