Most likely you have developed funiculities which is inflammation of the cord of the testis - it generally takes few days to subside: if your sonography is normal and clinical examination is normal’ there is very less likelihood of any severe disease: however get a sonography of testis done and if you find any abnormality in the report consult a doctor.

Observations: loss of normal cervical lordosis is noted. Mild osteophytes lipping of vertebral bodies is noted. Intervertebral discs: c3-4, c4-5 and c5-6 discs show mild posterior bulge mildly indenting the thecal sac. Impression: mild posterior bulge of c3-4, c4-5 and c5-6 discs mildly indenting the thecal sac. Early cervical spondylosis. Request your honest opinion on this. What is early in early cervical spondylosis? Age 36 years first had this kind of muscle pain and tingling sensation about an year ago when started working out, took pregalin, it went away and was able to do all exercise without any problem and all joint pain also vanished after working out. Worked out for 2 months, no problem and then stopped working out due to other works. Then pain and tingling reoccur after about 6 months and took pregalin for 3 days helped, now muscle pain and tingling sensation again and took an mri since it reoccurred. Is it because of the workout or age related or ergonomics?

Had tingling sensation in left arm and then on right arm and behind neck a little bit. Also slight numb feeling sometimes on left hand. Enmg was done, it is normal. Prescription is as below: pregalin 75 1-0-1 4 weeks topnac 1-0-1 5 days synaptol sr 150 1-0-1 2 weeks I have 3 questions 1. How long will it take for complete cure? 2. Is mri cervical spine required? 3. Is pregalin and synaptol sr required to take 1-0-1 or 1 tablet a day can be taken? The doc I consulted is known to prescribe more meds and tests than required. I know this is doctor community, but such doctors do exist.

Neurologist,
Hello lybrate-user, there has been in all likelihood a mild cervical disc problem which has caused mild compression of the nerves causing the tingling. This may have occured due to bad posture of the neck or some odd posturing something like watching tv sitting or lying in an unusual position, the exast event will be clear if you scan the time preceding the tingling appearance for the first time. Generally 4-6 weeks are required for improvement and you will be ok, the medication are only decreasing the sensation and not doing anything to the underlying disease so it is to help you get over the tingling. I do not feel any mri is required you have to maintain good posture of your neck and avoid slouching or uncomfortable head and neck positions it will go.

Your doctor will inform you about when to stop and how long you need to use this medication. I think you are unnecessarily obsessing about various things to disturb for the least problems. Your imprisonment is all in your mind. Meet with a counselor too and learn how to deal with your feelings and to follow a regimen of exercise, diet, stress-free living and sleep.

My mother aged 58 has been suffering from severe burning pain in left upper back near scapular region which sometimes radiate down the arm, shoulder and neck and lower back. It started about an year ago with pain at single point in breast and back. Doctors in bangalore asked to undergo ultrasound and ift physiotherapy of 5 sessions each. In october, she underwent 2 sessions each of both after which the pain increased profoundly and covered the complete left upper back, shoulder and arm. She was bedridden. Slowly on orthopaedic consultation, she started to take medication of calcium, vitamin d and meganeuron od plus. She also started to exercise slowly with mainly exercises of arm and shoulder. However in may, the pain suddenly increased a lot. On suffering an orthopedic, she underwent mri of spine and left shoulder joint. It revealed mild to moderate tendinosis of supraspinatus and subscapularis tendon. Also mild adhesive capsulitis and intramuscular lipoma in anterior deltoid fibers. Mri orf spine was normal. Doctor recommended medicines like pregalin m 75, etova, calcium and vitamin d capsules along with few exercises. After 1 month of medication, she has only gotten mild relief. Now she is again taking meganeuron od plus with calcium and vitamin d capsules with exercises. The pain she feels is burning pain in scapular region. Sometimes radiating in arm, armpits and neck. When she sleeps on left side or flat on her back, after waking up, slight protrusion appears over scapula bone when compared with right side which after sometimes go away. Pain is sometimes very severe and sometimes slightly lower but pain remains persistent and burning. After exercising, sometimes pain increases. She is not able to sleep on her left side or on her back for long. She is constantly in pain while sitting, sleeping. However she tries to keep moving and exercising. I want to know if she has been correctly diagnosed with muscular problems and whatever showed on mri. Or there may be something else bothering her. Pain has become chronic and has been since last 1 year. She is severely depressed and not able to sleep. So she has been taking lonazep 0.5 since last 10 months since ift physiotherapy. Is there anything else should I do?

My mother aged 58 years has been suffering from severe pain in back. It started with pain at single point in upper back and her breast about 1 year ago. Neurologist gave her medications which brought her no relief. Then they asked her to undergo 5 sessions of ift and ultrasound physiotherapy about 8 months back. But after just 2 sessions, her pain increased severely due to which we had to stop her physiotherapy. After that, she got bedridden due to severe pain all over her back, neck and arms. In last 8 months, she continued to rest and took meganeuron, ccm and vitamin d tablets. But only got mild relief. She started mild stretching exercise of hands and shoulders about 2 months ago. But just after 1 month of exercising, her pain again increased a lot. We took her mri of cervical and lumbar spine and left shoulder joint. Mild tendinitis was revealed along with mild disc bulge at c3-c4 and c5-c6. Doctors have put her on medication of pregalin m 75 and etolac for 1 month and suggested some exercises. But she has not gotten any relief in last 12 days of medication. She gets pain in her left arm, armpit, near shoulder joint, shoulder bone and near spine on left side. She feels burning sensation while sleeping. Sometimes she feels like she is aching all over her left side back. What should I do?

This is a general low back ache and you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are is important to check that. Anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. •standing hamstring stretch: place the heel of your injured leg on a stool about 15 inches high. Keep your knee straight. Lean forward, bending at the hips until you feel a mild stretch in the back of your thigh. Make sure you do not roll your shoulders and bend at the waist when doing this or you will stretch your lower back instead of your leg. Hold the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •cat and camel: get down on your hands and knees. Let your stomach sag, allowing your back to curve downward. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Then arch your back and hold for 5 seconds. Do 3 sets of 10. •quadruped arm/leg raise: get down on your hands and knees. Tighten your abdominal muscles to stiffen your spine. While keeping your abdominals tight, raise one arm and the opposite leg away from you. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Lower your arm and leg slowly and alternate sides. Do this 10 times on each side pelvic tilt: lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your abdominal muscles and push your lower back into the floor. Hold this position for 5 seconds, then relax. Do 3 sets of 10. •partial curl: lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tighten your stomach muscles. Tuck your chin to your chest. With your hands stretched out in front of you, curl your upper body forward until your shoulders clear the floor. Hold this position for 3 seconds. Don't hold your breath. It helps to breathe out as you lift your shoulders up. Relax. Repeat 10 times. Build to 3 sets of 10. To challenge yourself, clasp your hands behind your head and keep your elbows out to the side. •gluteal stretch: lying on back with both knees bent, rest the ankle of one leg over the knee of your other leg. Grasp the thigh of the bottom leg and pull that knee toward your chest. You will feel a stretch along the buttocks and possibly along the outside of your hip on the top leg. Hold this for 15 to 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times. •extension exercise: lie face down on the floor for 5 minutes. If this hurts too much, lie face down with a pillow under your stomach. This should relieve your leg or back pain. When you can lie on your stomach for 5 minutes without a pillow, then you can continue with the rest of this exercise.

Pregabalin is better but it has more side effects like dizziness and vertigo. If you can tolerate pregabalin is better.
