That depends on what caused the pigmentation n if it really is an infection. Unlikely that the doctor started you on steroid for an infection. Better confirm with your doctor.

It was not an issue. Don't worry. Just make sure to take medicine at same time each day in prescribed dose.

I consulted doctor online sent some pics of my scalp he said it is alopecia areata diffuse variant. He suggested some medication i'm using that from 3 weeks but I did not find any hair growth. Medication i'm using currently is betnesol forte 6 mg weekly twice. Methylcobalamin 1000 mcg/per day. Trichoton forte daily, uprise-d3 60k weekly once. And I have done all blood tests thyroid, kidney and liver function test, everything is normal. I have vitamin b12 and vitamin d3 deficiency i'm taking supplements for that. Dear Manasa, I appreciate that you are consistent in your hair care. But we need to evaluate what is the actual reason for your alopecia. Do you have a family history of the same? Did you have any dandruff? Are you on any other medication apart from what you have mentioned in your query. Any illness in the past? There are few treatments available in Ayurveda which can help you to good extent.

Do you have dandruff problem also. Regularly wash your hair with mild shampoo. 1. Vitamin for hair loss.(a, b and c) 2. Enrich diet with protein. 3. Do warm coconut oil massage. Take coconut oil and heat it up so that it is warm, but not too hot. Massage your scalp with this hot oil for a few minutes. 4. Avoid brushing wet hair. 5. Keep yourself hydrated. 6. Put on a shower cap for an hour then shampoo your hair. It helps to stop hair loss and promote hair growth. 7. Avoid hairstyles that pull on the hairline. 8. Ditch hair tools that use high heat. 9. Be wary of chemical processing. 10. Drink water to hydrate your body. U can mix arnica q and jaborandi q equal quantity. Apply on scalp with the help of cotton. Wash hair next day. The rashes and itching could be due to fungal infection/ dermatitis. Without proper examination it is difficult to diagnose and prescribe medication. But betnesol wil worsen the condition for sure (on long term use it damages the skin and lesion becomes painful. Stop the drug .for itching you can continue tab levocetrizine like laveta. Maintain proper hygiene. Wear cotton clothes. Visit nearest dermatolgist. Thanks.
