This medication is a combination of Adapalene and Clindamycin, thus it works following a dual mechanism. Firstly, it works by mechanistically combining with certain retinoic acid nuclear receptors as well as retinoid X receptors. It does not combine with cytosolic receptor protein, however. The exact working nature of this medicine is not known. Secondly, it works by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Thus it inhibits the bacterial growth responsible for causing acne.
Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.
