About Miliclav Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Amoxycillin, Clavulanic Acid, and Lactobacillus as active ingredients. As a penicillin antibiotic, this medication treats bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of the cell wall in a bacteria and stops it from growing. This is used to treat infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract.

It also treats conditions like tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, and gonorrhea. This medication when used with an antibiotic clarithromycin, it treats stomach ulcers.

Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Some forms of this medicine may be taken with or without food. Dosage is as per doctor’s prescription and it varies according to age, medical condition and how severe the condition is.

    This medication is a Penicillin antibiotic and inhibits the transfer of a peptide group in the transpeptidation process. As a result, the bacterium is not able to build cell walls and is killed. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This treats your infection but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well. Lactobacillus is good and friendly bacteria’s which is used to treat diarrhea, high cholesterol, and other digestive problems.
