Lexanox Plus Oral Paste is an anti-allergic, anti inflammatory drug used as a medicament against aphthous ulcer, which is more commonly known as canker sores or mouth sores. Though canker sores take about 7 to 10 days in self healing, but Lexanox Plus Oral Paste helps to accelerate the process and helps in faster healing of the said problem. This medication is applied to the affected area for about 4 times a day or as directed by the physician. In Japan it also has a use as a medicament against bronchial asthma, eye drops for varied eye complications and allergic rhinitis.

Lexanox Plus Oral Paste is applied in a pea sized amount with the help of the finger tip on the affected area after the area is washed and soaked duly.

This medication is safe if used adequately after doctor?s advice. But over usage or wrong application may draw some side effects as well. A temporary pain, or a sensation of burn may be felt at the site of application. Serious reactions like nausea, diarrhea etc may also be experienced by the patient if the patient is allergic to it. Lexanox Plus Oral Paste rarely results in very serious allergic reactions but any itching, swelling or other reactions in the site must be notified to the doctor as soon as possible.

Hi lybrate-user Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: * Eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. * Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, pastas and cereals like whole wheat ; fruits and vegetables; dairy products like milk, curd and paneer ;lean protein like fish, chicken and eggs ; and nuts and seeds. * Try smoothies and shakes. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes made with milk and fresh or frozen fruit, and sprinkle in some ground flaxseed. In some cases, a liquid meal replacement may be recommended. * Watch when you drink. Some people find that drinking fluids before meals blunts their appetite. In that case, it may be better to sip higher calorie beverages along with a meal or snack. For others, drinking 30 minutes after a meal, not with it, may work. * Make every bite count. Snack on nuts, peanut butter, cheese, dried fruits and almond butter. * Top it off. Hi lybrate-user, Some people suffer from excessive sweating in their palms. It generally occurs due to any of your activity level or surrounding temperature or stress or genetics. The underlying cause is the over-activity of the nerves that trigger your sweat glands. The over-activity of the nerves is caused due to certain medications, obesity, overactive thyroid, low blood sugar, menopausal hot flashes, infectious diseases (tuberculosis & malaria), nutritional deficiencies, unhygienic lifestyle, etc. 1. Apple Cider Vinegar - Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is a natural astringent that helps to keep the pores tight and thereby controls excessive sweating. It also balances the body?s pH level and boost up the body?s metabolism to reduce obesity and thereby hyperhidrosis. Here are some ACV methods that used for treating sweaty palms and feet: / Wash the excessive sweating hands and feet with lukewarm water. Apply raw, unfiltered ACV on that area using a cotton ball at night before bedtime. /Leave it on for overnight and take a bath and dry your skin. Now apply baby powder on the palms and feet to get rid of the problem. Do it daily. /Mix equal parts of ACV and rose water and stir well. Apply this mix on your palms and feet by using a cotton ball. Repeat the same process 2 ? 3 times daily. /Add 1 ? 2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered ACV and 1/2 teaspoon of organic honey in 1 glass of lukewarm water. Stir well and drink it twice daily. 2. Cornstarch - Cornstarch will work similar to a talcum powder and thus stops hyperhidrosis. It has a natural antiperspirant that absorbs the moisture and thereby neutralizes the unpleasant odor. / Add equal quantities of baking soda and cornstarch and mix well. / Store this in an old talcum powder bottle to use it regularly. / Dry your skin after bath and dust some of this powder on the hands and feet. / Repeat it as needed to get rid of the problem. 4. Sage: Sage has strong astringent that dries up the excess oils and prevents excessive sweating. It is rich in vitamin B and magnesium that reduces overactivity in the sweat glands. / Place 2 ? 3 sage tea bags in a large bowl of water and cover it. / Allow it to steep for 15 ? 20 minutes and soak your hands or feet in this water for 20 ? 30 minutes. / Do it 1 ? 2 times daily to get complete relief from the problem. 5. Tea Bags: Herbal tea bags have tannins that keep the body temperature cool and thus reduce the chance of excessive sweating. It has an astringent property that blocks the skin pores and prevents hyperhidrosis. / Hold moist tea bags in the palms for 5 minutes. / Do it 2 ? 3 times daily to get rid of the problem. Tips and Precautions: / Activated charcoal absorbs moisture from the body and keeps it free from sweating. Consume 1 teaspoon of activated charcoal mixed in 1 glass of warm water or apply it on the affected areas. / Tea tree oil has antimicrobial and astringent properties that control excessive sweating. Mix 4 ? 5 drops of tea tree oil in a bowl of lukewarm water and apply it on the affected areas using a cotton ball or washcloth. Repeat it 2 ? 3 times daily. / Include magnesium rich foods like almonds, banana, beans, pumpkin seeds, blackstrap molasses, pecans, potato skin, yogurt, whole grains, cashews, soy milk, green leafy vegetables, etc. To control sweat gland activity. Or take magnesium citrate supplements after consulting your doctor. / Regular soaking of your hands and feet in cold water for 30 ? 45 minutes will help you to get rid of excessive sweating. / Wear socks and shoes that are made of natural materials. Also, regularly change them regularly to get rid of this problem. / Drink plenty of water and other healthy drinks throughout the day to stay cool and hydrated. / Avoid wearing gloves, mittens and other items that cover your hands. A common man follows a standard daily oral hygiene routine, which entails brushing one’s teeth and rinsing one’s mouth. At the most, some people who are extra conscious about their oral hygiene use dental floss or some branded mouthwash for the fresh feeling. But, the question remains, is it enough?

From the time you wake up till the time you go back to sleep, your mouth is susceptible to a large amount of attacks from bacteria, which enter your body through your mouth. This results in unwanted and harmful dental diseases. This can happen in spite of the fact that people regularly and religiously follow their daily oral hygiene as well as their trips to the dentist for regular clean-ups. So what is that extra something that can help get rid of the bacteria trying to take permanent residence in your mouth?

Oil Pulling:

Oil pulling is an ancient and traditional Ayurvedic technique which is your best bet to detoxify your mouth from that pesky bacterium along with whitening and cleaning of your teeth. It is also a proven cure for innumerable diseases like skin infections, arthritis, liver and stomach problems, curing headaches and migraines, throat infections etc. Any type of edible oil can be used for this highly beneficial Ayurvedic technique.

Following are a set of instructions for the process of how oil pulling is done:

  1. Oil pulling process should be conducted immediately after waking up before eating or drinking anything.
  2. Choose edible oil like sesame, coconut or olive oil for this purpose.
  3. Take not more than 2 tablespoons of oil in the mouth and swish it i.e. is move it around the mouth for at least 20 minutes moving it throughout the mouth and along the gums and in between the teeth also.
  4. Avoid decreasing the time limit for swishing the oil in the mouth. By decreasing the time you might not be able to completely detoxify your mouth and by increasing the time the risks of absorbing the toxins back in the mouth and stomach are high. To know when the time is right to stop swishing the oil in your mouth, you can out a little oil from your mouth. If the oil has thinned and turned white or milky then it is time to spit out the rest of the oil from your mouth.
  5. After spitting out the oil, rinse and gargle your mouth with warm water and use a tongue cleaner to remove all residue of the oil.

Repeat this process everyday for satisfying results.

Benefits of oil pulling:

  1. The main cause of bad breath in your mouth is tooth decay which is caused by a bacterium which is called Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Oil pulling is an attested form of Ayurvedic technique which gets rid of this bacterium from your mouth permanently.

Multani mitti is the most natural skin care product and can provide great benefit to the skin when applied in correct manner.

  1. Dry skin- mix with fresh cream/ malai and chandan ( sandalwood powder) and apply for 20 minutes, dont wait for it to dry completely. Rub gently and remove with luke warm water after 20 minutes of application. USE ONCE A WEEK.

1. Baking soda

  • Baking soda can cleanse the skin. It can be used in different ways to get rid of general and localized itch.
  • Add one cup of baking soda to the warm bathing water.
  • Soak your body in this water for at least 30 minutes
  • Pat dry the skin
  • For localized itching, make a paste of the three parts of baking soda with one part of water and apply to the affected area.

2. Lemon juice

  • Lemon juice acts as a cleanser and also has antiseptic properties. This can reduce the itching and prevent any infections of the skin.
  • Extract the juice from lemon.
  • Apply it directly on the affected area.
  • If you have scratched the skin this will cause a burning sensation, but it will heal the scratches and scars faster.

3. Essential oils

  • The itching of the skin caused by the dryness of the skin and some fungal infections can be easily removed using essential oils. Some of the essential oils such as lavender oil, rosemary oil, basil oil, clove oil, chamomile oil have anti- inflammatory and soothing properties which will alleviate the irritations.
  • Add essential oils to the bathing water.
  • Instead you can directly apply it on to the skin and wash it off after 30 minutes.

4. Olive, sesame or almond oil

  • These oils reduce the dryness of the skin and relieve you from the itch caused by dry and flaky skin. This remedy will be extremely helpful in winter season.
  • Heat any of these oils and apply to the whole body or to the particular areas as required.

5. Coconut oil

  • This remedy will be extremely useful for night time itch. Coconut oil has antiseptic properties and it also moisturizes the skin.
  • Soak your body in warm water for 20 minutes.
  • Pat dry the skin and apply a thick layer of coconut oil on the dry skin areas.
  • Cover the areas with warm clothes and go to bed
  • You will be having an itch free-sleep at night and your skin will look very fresh the next day.

6. Apple cider vinegar

  • This remedy can relieve you from itching more effectively.
  • Apply vinegar using a cotton ball to the affected areas
  • Add 2-3 cups of vinegar in the bathtub and soak your body for 15-20 minutes.

7. Aloe vera

  • Aloe vera gel can moisturize the skin and hydrate it. It will protect your skin from any infections.
  • Take the gel out of the fresh leaf of aloe vera and apply to the itchy skin
  • Let it dry for some time and wash it off with lukewarm water.

8. Honey and milk

  • Honey has anti microbial property and milk has anti inflammatory property. Honey and milk moisturizes the skin as well.
  • Make a mixture of milk and honey using equal quantities.
  • Dip a washcloth in this mixture and apply to the affected areas of the skin

9. Beeswax

  • This remedy will be very effective for people suffering from itching due to psoriasis or eczema.
  • Mix honey, olive oil and melted beeswax.
  • Apply this mixture to the itchy areas of the skin when it is warm.
  • Repeat the remedy till you get relief from itching.

10. Mint

  • Mint has anti-inflammatory properties due to the presence of menthol in it. Mint also has antiseptic properties
  • Boil 1 cup of mint leaves in 2cups of water
  • Allow the mixture to cool and strain it
  • Apply this mint tea to the affected areas of the skin

11. Basil

  • The eugenol present in basil has anesthetic properties which help to relieve itching.
  • Prepare a brew of the basil leaves and water
  • Allow the preparation to cool and apply to the itchy skin
