About Laveta A Tablet

Laveta A Tablet is primarily prescribed to treat sore throat. It is prescribed along with other medications to treat cough and related respiratory issues. This drug can be found in many of the cough syrups and various other medications treating the same.

This is a combination medication which has Levocetirizine and Ambroxol as active ingredients. This medication is used for the treatment of the symptoms that are associated with allergies, both seasonal and all-year-round. It is also used to cure respiratory diseases.

This medicine clears the respiratory tract and breaks up the phlegm. It aids in the release of surfactant which in turn prevents the mucus from sticking to the bronchial wall. It works by facilitating easy breathing in case of clogging up of the nasal cavity. Each tablet of this drug contains 30 mg hydrochloride whereas every 15 ml contains 15mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.

Its action begins quickly just 30 mins after intake. This is clinically proven to make the sputum thinner and less vicious and helps to cure cough. It is also used to treat different forms of inflammatory pulmonary conditions, bronchitis, bronchospasm asthma and pneumoconiosis.

Laveta A Tablet needs to be taken orally. It can be used in the form of combination therapy, meaning you may be prescribed this drug along with other medications. You can take the medicine with your food or without it. It blocks the release of histamine, a chemical from the cells present in your body. It, therefore, provides you relief from the allergic symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and watery, red or itchy eyes.

The dosage of Laveta A Tablet depends on your age, the severity of your condition, medical history and the reaction of your body after the first dose. Your doctor should be informed about your medical history and condition, along with certain conditions before you are prescribed to this medicine, like:

Ambroxol inhibits the activation of guanylate cyclase which is nitric oxide-dependent.
