About Lactobacillus

Lactobacillus is a commonly available medicine, often available over the counter without a prescription. It is a bacteria that occurs naturally in the human body, and is commonly found in the intestines and in the vagina. It is used as a probiotic.

It works by creating an environment unfavorable to potentially pathogenic fungi or bacteria through the production of lactic acid, and favors the establishment of an aciduric flora, thereby suppressing the growth of pathogenic microorganisms; helps re-establish normal intestinal flora
