About Doxybond Lb Capsule

Doxybond Lb Capsule is primarily prescribed to treat bacterial infections. This medicine is a combination belonging to the class of antibiotics. It contains doxycycline and Lactobacillus as the active ingredients.

Doxycycline belongs to the class of tetracycline which blocks a bacterial protein from being made and therefore prevents the growth of bacteria. Whereas Lactobacillus is a friendly bacteria, which is helpful in restoring intestinal flora, post-antibiotic diarrhoea and for prevention of post-antibiotic vulvovaginal yeast infection

Being Antibiotic, Doxybond Lb Capsule is helpful in treating some sexually transmitted diseases, intestinal infections, skin infections, eye infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and others. This drug may also be used as part of a combination therapy to treat severe acne and to prevent malaria.

Before taking Doxybond Lb Capsule, you should tell your doctor if you are:

  • Taking any medication for any clinical condition
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Liver disease

It is advised to take medicine as per the doctor’s prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but must be taken at the fixed time to ensure the better efficacy of this medication. Most importantly, the medication course must be completed even if you started to feel better. As sudden discontinuation of the medication may affect its potency .
