Cinitapride is used in the treatment and prevention of heartburn, functional dyspepsia, inflammation of esophagus and acid secretion by the stomach.

You must also consult your doctor if you have gastrointestinal bleeding or movement problems, you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs or herbal products or dietary supplements.
The dosage for this medication should be determined by the doctor based on your age, overall medical history and the severity of your current condition. The usual dose in adults is 1 mg, to be taken orally thrice per day. The medicine needs to be taken on an empty stomach at least 15 minutes before your meals.
