Daflon 1000 mg Tablet
This medication is used in the treatment of blood vessel disorders. Such disorders include venous stasis, varicose veins, lymphedema, etc. It also treats internal hemorrhoids and excessive thinning of the blood. The tablet helps in the vasoconstriction of vein walls by extending the effect of norepinephrine on these walls. This improves circulation through veins.
The medicine has a similar effect on the lymph vessels thus improving lymphatic drainage as well. It also helps in bringing down inflammation by reducing prostaglandin levels in the body. Avoid the medication if you suffer from kidney disease, diarrhea, sarcoidosis, high calcium levels in the blood, kidney stone, Addison's disease, Thomson disease, etc.
The dosage of this tablet will depend upon the medical history of the person. It is also dependent on health conditions like pregnancy, pre-existing diseases, etc. Common side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea and headache.
