Sugar levels reveal you have diabetes. You have to also let me know when these were found, any other symptoms, your weight and height plus level of activity. Do you have any family history of diabetes? right now you have start treatment with insulin injection and self monitor blood levels with a gluco meter and titrate insulin dosage to bring sugar levels to normal.
Itâs too high. U need to immediately start medicines and follow diabetes diet which simply means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes. A diabetes diet is a healthy-eating plan that's naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories. Key elements are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
U can take (moderate amount)
grapes.
Apples.
Berries.
Citrus fruits.
Papaya.
You should avoid
sugar-sweetened beverages. Sugary beverages are the worst drink choice for someone with diabetes. Trans fats
sugar, cake, pastries
mithai/sweets
chocolate
fruits like mango, litchi etc.
White bread, pasta fruit-flavored yogurt. Sweetened breakfast cereals. Flavored coffee drinks. Honey

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When food is taken, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours for that food to be broken down to glucose. That is why PP blood glucose level is asked to be taken after 2 hours. So it will be higher than that shown just after half an hour. The mentioned levels are too high, can cause serious problems. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
To control blood glucose you will have to take appropriate medication, plus take a restricted diet, that provides exact calories based on ideal body weight (your ideal body weight should be 60 kgs). Plus regular exercise for over 1 hour is also required. All these things together will help in controlling the blood glucose. Thanks.
Random blood sugar below 140 means you are in perfect health. So no need to worry.
You can try to reduce high Carbs from your diet and instead take complex carbohydrates.
You can refer to something called Glycemic Index ( G.I. Index) of foods for selecting and managing your diet.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Blood glucose level 200 mg random is too high, suggestive of uncontrolled diabetes. WHich means current treatmentis not adequate, plus you are not taking a proper diet and enough exercise may not be there. However, the information is not enough to give any specific suggestion. I need to know: fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1 c%, diet pattern and extent of daily exercise. Another aspect is you are over weight with a BMI of 28.46 kgs/Sq meters (normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter. You have over 13 kgs excess weight. That also contributes to improper control. Thanks.

Low blood sugar is called hypoglycemia. A blood sugar level below 70 mg/dl (3.9 mmol/l) is low and can harm you. A blood sugar level below 54 mg/dl (3.0 mmol/l) is a cause for immediate action.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
