Hi! I have some problem psychological. I am tensed of couple of day to day problems. But I lost my wife 4 years back and I can't forget that at all. I am very sad due to that. I am senior citizen and very modern in my culture as have stayed abroad for many years. Please guide.

You have depression and ,If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. And if these are not useful you need antidepressants 1. Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2. Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat.. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3. Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5. Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. What to eat while going gym in the morning? I am feeling low (low energy) after 1 hr of exercise of aerobics and yoga.

The exercise should be in limit, exhaustive is not advisable, a medicated herbs milk may drink and on coming back shira-rava-soji haluva with dry fruits may eat.

I am 36 and have quite a few physical limitations in doing the yoga and exercises due to orthopeadic issues. Are aqua aerobics better in these kind of situations. Please advise.

Kindly choose any mode of exercise. Build up your stamina & and attain perfection in poses gradually. Don't do hop jump & stop type of exercises/

Please dont lift weights above shoulder levels as it can effect your height. As this iss your growing age, your height can increase further nd if you want to attain a good height then go for homoeopathic treatment.

You are doing the right thing , olive oil is heart friendly but use less oil , remember no oil is zero cholesterol.

Hi lybrate-user below tips could help you start your weight-loss journey. 1. Never eat a snack out of a carton or a cover. Always use a cup or a plate to so you know how much you are eating. 2. Have at least one bright colored fruit and one bright colored vegetable a day 3. Take a small snack box to office with almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits to satisfy your cravings 4. Try to have your dinner by 8 so that you are not too hungry and also make healthy choices at dinner. 5. People who eat breakfast have a better success rate at losing weight. 6. Beware of zero trans fat and fat free foods as you might end up eating high sugar and carb containing foods. 7. People who are emotional eaters learn to identify the emotion that makes you eat unhealthy food and try diverting your mind to something else you love 8. If your plates are too big trade them off for a 9 inch plates 9. Replace your weighing scale with a tape measure. 10. Share your weight-loss journey with a family member or friend so that you are accountable to each other. 11. Green tea at least once a day will help you boost your metabolism 12. Sleep helps in repair and regulating your hormones. Sleep atleast 8 hours in a day. 13. Have fruits at least twice a day.

No, rather sex is a good form of exercise. You will not be able to continue gym after you grow much older but regular walking and regular/occasional will keep you fit physically and mentally.

Protein is important after work out, not as an additional diet but to avoid eating heavy food for dinner or snacks. It is a healthy replacement. Make sure that milk you have does not have too much sugar. (do not take more than 2tea spoon sugar a day, it includes sugar in sweetened cookies/chocolates/candy etc.)

Hello, Aerobic exercises help in building stamina and endurance. Any exercise which exceeds burning more calories than calorie intake will surely give you healthy weight loss. Crunches are good option as they work on the core muscles.
