This tablet works via a dual mechanism which includes two antiparasitic medicines Artemether and Lumefantrine. It is used in the treatment of a few kinds of malaria in adults and also children weighing at least 5 kg.

These both the medicine work to increase the level of haeme in the blood which is toxic for the parasites of malaria. They also kill the parasites by preventing the infection from spreading.
