About Febrex Plus 2Mg/500Mg/10Mg Syrup

Febrex Plus is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure, sinus congestion, runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing due to upper respiratory infections, hay fever and allergies.

This medication is an antihistamine in combination with NSAID and alpha-adrenergic agonist. It works by obstructing the action of histamine and COX. Also, it potentiates the action of adrenergic neurotransmitter in the body.

You are advised to not use this medicine if you are allergic to it or if you are taking or have taken sodium oxybate, furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the last 14 days.

Before using this drug, inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, glaucoma, heart problems, liver disease, high blood pressure, seizures, overactive thyroid, stomach problems or urination problems.

Some adverse effects include:

  • Confusion
  • Anxiety
  • Constipation
  • Restlessness
  • Blurred vision
  • Dry mouth
  • Hallucinations
  • Tinnitus
  • Problems with memory or concentration and trouble urinating.

You can take this drug in the form of a liquid form by mouth with or without food. This medicine is usually recommended only for a short time until your symptoms are cleared. Do not take it for longer than 7 days in a row.

It activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals. Lastly, it acts as a nasal decongestant. It works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels in the ear and nose, thereby providing great relief from discomfort.
