About ACEGABA NT 400MG/10MG TABLET

Acegaba tablet is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent Diabetic Neuropathy. It is a combination medication containing drugs which belongs to the class of anticonvulsants along with tricyclic antidepressants. Aside from Diabetic Neuropathy Doloneuron this tablet is used to cure hot flashes, restless legs syndrome (RLS) and postherpetic neuralgia. It treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerve responsible for these pains and seizures.

The daily dosage for this tablet in adults is about 300 mg to 600 mg about three times a day. The gaps between the three doses should not exceed 12 hours. This drug can be taken with or without food. In case of a missed dose take it as soon as possible. Do not drug overdose. If already time for your next dose skip it. Contact your doctor instantly in the case of drug overdose.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication belongs to GABA analog. It works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. The drug also blocks the norepinephrine presynaptic receptors which in turn inhibits norepinephrine reuptake. This raises its concentration in the synaptic clefts of the CNS. It also blocks reuptake of serotonin at the neuronal membrane.
