• Anagen Effluvium: Usually associated with chemotherapy, anagen effluvium results from the impairment of the metabolic activity of the hair follicles. Immediately after chemotherapy begins, the patient may lose up to ninety percent of her hair.
• Traction alopecia: This condition develops because of prolonged exertion of pressure at the hair follicles. Tight hairstyles, braiding, tight ponytails, weaving cornrows and hair extensions are usually responsible.
• Alopecia Areata: In this condition, hair falls out from a single area on the scalp to create a round or oval shaped bald patch that grows gradually. It is considered to be an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system of the body attacks the hair growth systems causing the death of healthy hair follicles and preventing further hair growth.

• Mix one tablespoon of amla juice with one tablespoon lemon juice and massage it onto your scalp. Leave overnight before shampooing the next day.
• Make a paste of soaked fenugreek seeds and apply it to your head. Shampoo your hair after 40 minutes.
• Apply onion juice on your head an hour before shampoo. You may also mix it with two tablespoons of aloe vera gel or one tablespoon of olive oil.
• Apply the paste of ground licorice roots, saffron and a cup of milk to the scalp and leave overnight. Wash your hair off the next morning.
• Boil coconut oil in which 10 chinese hibiscus flowers have been added till the flowers are charred. Strain the solution and apply to the scalp a night before shampoo.
• Consume one tablespoon of flaxseeds regularly. You may also apply flaxseed oil to your scalp.
• Massage coconut milk to your hair.
