Psoriasis And Its Treatment
Psoriasis case before treatment and after 2 months:
A 47-year-old woman presented with erythematous rashes of various size and shape since 12 years. They principally influenced her trunk (chest, mid-region and back) and the two legs however she had a couple of sores on her scalp. She had no family history of psoriasis.
Aim and objective
In this case aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of cupping therapy with below mentioned formulation for psoriasis and objective of cupping therapy was imala wa tanqiya e mawad, improve subcutaneous blood flow circulation and autonomous nervous stimulation as well as sweat glands stimulation.
Diagnosis and treatment:
On physical examination, the patient was afebrile with other imperative signs inside typical breaking points. She had summed up erythematous, fiery patches. The Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) was used to express the severity of psoriasis based on (erythema, induration and desquamation) and percentage of affected area. This woman had psoriasis and responded well to cupping therapy every 15 days interval, in addition to arq mundi 50 ml twice, 5 grams of kutki and equal amount of chirayta and put the mixture in a glass of water before going to bed and consume in the morning after filtering the solids out. Patient’s therapy was continued for 4 sessions. PASI Score was 29.5 before treatment and reduced to 4.8 after 2 months. State of the skin enhanced and started looking solid as apparent in photographs.
