Breast Enlargement - Know Its Ayurvedic Remedies!!
Breast augmentation is one of the most common cosmetic procedures undergone by women across the world. Though small or petite breasts do not affect the overall health of a woman, they can make the woman feel dissatisfied with her appearance. Surgery is not the only way for a woman to enlarge her breasts. Ayurveda has a number of remedies that can boost the development of breast tissue and make them larger. Unlike cosmetic surgery, these remedies do not need any recovery time, leave no scars and have negligible side effects. However, one must be patient and follow treatment regularly as the results may be slower to develop.

Some effective ayurvedic remedies for breast augmentation include:

Massage: A woman s breasts are composed of adipose tissue and glandular tissue. Massaging the breasts stimulates both these tissues. It also increases lymph circulation and boosts oxytocin levels. Sesame oil is ideal for breast massages. This oil is rich in calcium, iron, proteins and phosphorus. Alternatively, you could also use an ayurvedic massage cream. Apply a little oil or cream on your hands and massage the breasts with circular strokes for 5- 10 minutes, twice a day.
Fenugreek Breast Mask: The phytoestrogen found in fenugreek increases the prolactin levels in a woman s body. Additionally, fenugreek also stimulates the mammary glands thus encouraging the breast tissue to expand. To use this herb to increase breast size, massage a paste of fenugreek powder and water into your breasts and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Alternatively, you could massage your breasts with fenugreek extract or get fenugreek supplements.
Fennel seeds and cod liver oil: The flavonoids in fennel seeds stimulate the growth of breast tissue. To benefit from this, heat cod liver oil and add fennel seeds when hot. Once the seeds turn red, strain the oil and allow it to cool. Massage this oil into the breasts and leave for half an hour. Ideally, you should massage your breasts with this oil every day.
Red Lentil Paste: Lentils are a rich source of oestrogen that can stimulate breast development. To use this home remedy to enlarge your breasts, soak red lentils in water for a few hours and grind to a fine paste. Apply this paste on the breasts and leave for an hour or until it has dried before rinsing it off. There is no need to massage this paste into the skin. Along with augmenting breasts, this also helps create firm breasts.
Breast augmentation exercises: Certain exercises can also help naturally enlarge your breasts. One of the simplest exercises for breast augmentation involves standing with your feet apart and swinging your arms clockwise and anticlockwise. Repeat this exercise ten times in the morning and evening.

How To Increase Breast Size And Make Them Firm?

How To Increase Breast Size And Make Them Firm?
Loosening of breasts is natural with age. However, small and drooping breasts at a young age can affect your overall appearance and even lower your self-esteem. Some ill habits and lack of knowledge on how to increase breast size and maintain firmness often are the primary causes of sagging breasts.

Fortunately, increasing one s breast size and getting a well-toned bust does not necessarily involve going under the knife. There are quite a few ways to reshape your breasts naturally -

Olive Oil Massage -

Olive oil consists of antioxidants and fatty acids that can rectify the damage done by free radicals. Besides, olive oil massage improves your body and skin texture by making the breasts firm. All you need to do is take a few drops of the oil and gently rub it on and around the breasts. Make sure you are rubbing in an upward motion. Massage for 15 minutes until the area around your breasts generates heat. This increases the flow of blood and repairs the cells that are damaged. Follow the technique 4-5 times a week.

Cucumber with Egg Yolk Massage -

Cucumber has skin-toning properties, while egg yolks contain high levels of proteins and vitamins. Mixing these two ingredients, you can prepare a paste to apply on the breasts. Take an egg yolk, one cucumber and a tablespoon of cream. Make a paste using these, apply on your bust and massage gently. Leave it on for half an hour and then wash the area with cold water. Using the paste once a week will leave your breasts firmer and in an upright position.

Fenugreek Seeds -
The phytoestrogen present in fenugreek improves oestrogen levels, which further helps in cell division and promotes breast enlargement. Prepare a paste using fenugreek seed powder and massage the same on your breasts. After about 10 minutes, wash it off with cold water. You can also consume fenugreek seeds in the form of herbal supplements but only after discussing the same with your doctor.

Shea Butter and Rhassoul Clay -

A rich source of vitamin E, Shea butter helps tighten the skin around your breasts to give them a firmer look. Similar to olive oil massage, Shea butter massage also prevents cell damage due to the free radicals. Apply Shea butter on your breasts and massage in a circular motion for about 15 minutes. Leave it on for another 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Rhassoul clay contains iron, silica, sodium, potassium, and calcium all the vital minerals that help keep your skin tight. Dissolve the clay into the water and prepare a sticky paste. Cover your breasts with the paste and let dry completely. Gently wash it off with cold water later.

Why turn to expensive lotions and undergo surgery when you can get wonderful, firm breasts naturally? Follow these tips and see your body change for the better. Say goodbye to sagging breasts.

All You Need to Know about Breast Augmentation Surgery

Breast Augmentation is the most popular plastic surgery procedure performed worldwide.

Breast augmentation can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, enlarging your breasts and making them more proportional with the rest of your body. Breast augmentation can also be used to correct differences in the size of your breasts or sagging breasts, which can occur after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Preoperative Planning

There are many choices and options in breast augmentation, which require careful planning to individualize what are the best options for you. All of these choices have advantages and disadvantages, which you should understand before you make a decision with your surgeon.

Breast augmentation does not correct severely drooping breasts. If you want your breasts to look fuller and to be lifted due to sagging, a breast lift may be required in conjunction with breast augmentation. Breast lifting can often be done at the same time as your augmentation or may require a separate operation. Your plastic surgeon will assist you in making this decision.

Most patients choose silicone implants rather than saline implants because they have a more natural look and feel. Modern silicone implants are substantially different from the old type of silicone implants used in the 1970s and 80s. Another advantage of the cohesive gel silicone implants is that they are made in a variety of round and tear-drop shapes, which means it is easier to choose an implant to achieve the breast shape that you desire.

Safety Profile

Misinformation emerged about silicone in the late 80's and early 90's. The effects of silicone implants have since been studied extensively these claims were made, looking at 100,000s of women with breast implants. In June 1999, The Institute of Medicine at the National Academy of Sciences in the U.S.A. released a report, which confirmed that there is no increased risk of the development of cancer, immunologic or neurological problems associated with the use of silicone breast implants, which had been claimed in the late 80's. Patients with implants can breastfeed normally as there is no effect on breast milk.

Surgery

Breast augmentation surgery requires a general anaesthetic, with the operation taking 1-2 hours, and is usually performed as a day-stay or overnight-stay procedure.

Implants are placed either behind the breast tissue or under the pectoralis muscle on the chest wall. Breast implants placed underneath the muscle have a more natural shape, a lower chance of capsular contracture (hardening) of the implant, and it is easier for mammography. There is also a choice of incision - in the crease under the breast, under the areola or in the armpit, all of which have advantages and disadvantages, which you should discuss with your surgeon.

Recovery

Following the surgery, it is important to have restricted light activities, with no lifting or heavy duties for 7-10 days. Most patients may drive again and return to work within 7 days after the surgery. Heavy activities and sport should not be undertaken for 3-4 weeks following the surgery.

Breast Cancer - 4 Common Symptoms

Breast Cancer - 4 Common Symptoms
Common symptoms of breast cancer

Breast cancer is a type of a cancerous infection that develops in the skin cells of the breast. This condition is more commonly diagnosed after you have skin cancer and is more common in women than men. There are certain signs to identify this disease, which are as follows.

1. Breast lumps - Lumps are patches of skin that occur due to the thickening and swelling of the skin. Breast lumps is a very common phenomenon for women but that does not always lead to a breast cancer; however, frequent and reoccurring instances of the same increases the risk of breast cancer. A breast lump is easily identifiable through the naked eye as it looks different from the surrounding tissues.

2. Blood discharges - The nipple is one of the most sensitive areas in the human body. In case of women, it is meant to emit milk during pregnancy, in order to feed the infant externally. A probable symptom of breast cancer can also be a frequent discharge of blood from the nipple without any visible damage or injury.

3. Breast changes - If you are experiencing any visible changes in the size, appearance or shape of the breast, then it is an indicative sign that you may have breast cancer. Thus, it is of paramount importance that you observe, touch and physically examine your breast regularly for changes. If there is any major change detected then it is advisable to consult a doctor.

4. Inverted nipple - The tip of the nipple is generally bulging and pointing outwards both in cases of men and women. But sometimes the tip of the nipple is pushed inside due to excessive suction caused by the skin tissues present inside the breast around the nipple area. This suction forces the nipple to grow inwards which is abnormal and might harm the breast and skin in various ways.

However, apart from these main symptoms, some other signs are also there that increase your chances of being diagnosed with breast cancer. They are redness or pitting of the skin over your breast like an orange, peeling or scaling of the pigmented area around the nipple, dimpling of the skin on the breasts, and such others.

Breast Enhancement: What You Need To Know?

Breast Enhancement: What You Need To Know?
Breast augmentation surgery increases or restores breast size using silicone gel implants, saline implants or in some cases, fat transfer. One of the most popular and frequently performed aesthetic surgery procedures, breast augmentation has a long and successful track record in satisfying women who wish to enhance, regain or restore balance to their figures.

When to Consider Breast Augmentation-

If you want a better proportioned or more appealing figure.
If you wish your clothes fit better.
When pregnancy, weight loss or aging has affected the size and shape of your breasts.
To restore symmetry if one of your breasts is smaller than the other.
Breast enhancement surgery is mainly done using:

Implants: While performing breast surgery using implants, the surgeon will make an incision, lift up the breast tissue, create a pocket in your chest, and place the implant there. Generally, the breast implants are of two types, namely silicone and saline. Although both implants consist of an outer shell made of silicone, the difference lies in the internal content of the implant. Saline implants contain sterile or saline water, whereas silicone breast implants are generally filled with silicone gel.
Fat Transfer: For breast enhancement techniques using fat transfer, liposuction is used to take fat from a part of your body that generally has a higher content of fat. This includes the abdomen or the thighs. This extracted fat is processed and then inserted into the breasts.
The safety of the type of breast enhancements depends on:

Ruptures: Ruptures are risks with both forms of breast implant. The ruptures may result due to surgical error or a fall. Rupture of a saline implant only results in the leakage of harmless and absorbable saltwater. On the other hand, rupture of silicone implants causes leakage of silicone that tends to remain in the body and sometimes, may spread out of the breast and into the nearby lymph nodes.
Aesthetic Results: The look and feel of silicone breast implants is given more preference because they are similar to real breast tissues. Saline implants tend to cause rippling of the skin.
Surgical Differences: Saline implants can be filled after implanting. Hence, they require a smaller incision as compared to pre-filled silicone implants. Additionally, adjustment of saline implants after surgery is possible. However, the standard size of pre-filled silicone implants cannot be altered.
Eligibility: Age criteria for women undergoing breast enhancements using saline implants is 18 and above, while for silicone implants, the minimum age is 22.
Aftercare

The individual is kept under observation for a few days post the breast enhancement surgery. The breasts are covered in gauze dressings for a week before the patient is discharged.
After discharge, one is advised to wear a support bra for the first few weeks till the implants set in.

Non-Surgical Breast Lift - Know More About It!
Pregnancy and the resultant hormonal whirlpool change a woman s body in more ways than one. This is true especially when a woman starts to breastfeed her baby. Before pregnancy, a woman s breasts are taut and firm. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, her breasts enlarge, are stretched out, and tend to sag. All this is very much the natural course of your breasts changing in tune to your bodily changes. However, if you feel that they are hanging lower than what can be expected after pregnancy, you can take the help of a cosmetic gynaecologist.

Non-surgical Breast Lift Techniques -

You don t have to resort to surgery to get back firm breasts. There are several non-invasive ways of going about it-

Carboxy Therapy -

This therapy consists of injections of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is administered through a fine needle just beneath the skin. It reaches the adjacent blood vessels and causes them to dilate. Engorged blood vessels mean more robust circulation of blood. This makes the skin of the breasts more elastic because this therapy triggers the production of collagen.

Hyaluronic Acid Treatment -

Another effective way to non-surgically gives your breasts a lift is through Hyaluronic acid therapy. In the gel form, this can be a substitute for breast implant surgery. Not only do they make breasts firmer but fuller also.

Hyaluronic acid provides hydration to the cells and tissues of the breasts and makes them supple. They remove wrinkles and stretch marks.

The Vampire Breast Lift (VBL) -

Another way to get firmer breasts without having to undergo the trauma of surgery is the very popular Vampire Breast Lift. There will be no incisions and sutures. The surgeon will simply inject Platelet Rich Plasma into your breasts. The proteins present in the PRP promote growth and repair of cells. The advantages of VBL are-

Gives you firmer and shapely breasts

Makes the skin taut and smooth

Enhances blood circulation

Minimizes scars and wrinkles

The change in the shape of your breasts in the aftermath of pregnancy should not be a cause for insecurities and anxiety because you do not have to conform to society s ideals of feminine beauty. But, if you think your body image is driving you towards depression then you may consider opting for the above-mentioned non-surgical treatments of a breast lift.

Do You Know These 5 Things About Breast Augmentation

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Plastic Surgery

Do You Know These 5 Things About Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation is known to be popular among women and is frequently done and shows quite satisfying results.

Breast augmentation can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, enlarging your breasts and making them more proportional with the rest of your body. Breast augmentation can also be used to correct differences in the size of your breasts or sagging breasts, which can occur after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

1. Getting the right size: choosing the right size for breast augmentation is very important. It's wrong to believe that bigger implants are not always good. The size of implant should be decided after proper assessment of the breasts. In general, size selection is made based on your natural breast size. Whether you opt for a saline implant or a silicone one, implants come in varied sizes ranging from 120 cc to 500 cc. When you choose a size for yourself, you'll have to keep in mind your body frame as well as appearance you wish to have post surgery.

2. Incision options: depending on the results you expect, you'll also need to consider which incision (a surgical cut made in your skin before the operation) option you should select before undergoing surgery. Incisions can range anywhere from 1-4 inches, with their lengths increasing as the implants expand in size. There are also certain incisions, such as the belly button incisions that are really small and don't leave behind visible scar tissue.Apart from belly button incision, some of the other incision options that a surgeon may employ for breast augmentation could be:- armpit incision (incision made in the underarm area for breast implantation through the armpit)- nipple incision (incision made on the areola, which is the circular area of pigmented skin surrounding a nipple)- crease incision (incision made in the crease area below the breast for implantation).

3. Picking silicone or saline implants: when it comes to implants, you have two options available - saline or silicone. Providing a uniform shape and firmness, saline implants come filled with sterile salt water. In contrast, silicone breast implants contain elastic gel, giving them the look of natural breasts. In terms of elasticity, saline implants can be adjusted more easily as you can inject or remove liquid from the implant. In contrast, silicone implants cannot be adjusted as they are already filled with the gel.

4. Following the surgery, it is important to have restricted light activities, with no lifting or heavy duties for 7-10 days. Most patients may drive again and return to work within 7 days after the surgery. Heavy activities and sport should not be undertaken for 3-4 weeks following the surgery.

5. Breast augmentation surgery requires a general anaesthetic, with the operation taking 1-2 hours, and is usually performed as a day-stay or overnight-stay procedure.Implants are placed either behind the breast tissue or under the pectoralis muscle on the chest wall. Breast implants placed underneath the muscle have a more natural shape, a lower chance of capsular contracture (hardening) of the implant, and it is easier for mammography.
