Bhavyaji, All glucometers produced by reputed companies are good like acucheck, one touch or any other. While using a glucometer you have to prick the tip of the finger for a drop of blood, there is a lancet provided by every company using that is fairly painless. Since finger has to be pricked some pain is bound to be there.
The monitor should be placed at the level of your heart.
You should be in a relaxed state.
There is some difference of 10-20 units in digital and manual checking.
Dear lybrate user,
do not sit before computer for a long period after every hour you must give rest to your eyes by doing exercise or press with your hand for five minutes. Wash your eyes three four times a day. Go for vision test.
Any good brand glucometer is good for approximate idea and they are not perfect... and cannot rely for regular records....
And for blood pressure Diamond sphygmomanometer is best... the mercury based... it is ideal and accurate..
