A 'fever' is when the body's temperature is higher than it normally would be (above 37.5°C/99.5°F). In the early stages of fever, a child may have a raised temperature but complain that they feel cold and look pale.
Mouth and rectal temperature differs from Armpit and groin temperature. The range of temperature is 97 - 99 deg. Fahr. In my view you are suffering from fever.
Firstly check the symptoms- is the body feeling warm or hot after you feel the touch , is the child not drinking your breast milk properly for today, is the child not smiling as before, and do not concentrate on the thermometer reading for now
