There are many controversies surrounding soy. Some studies say soy protein is good and beneficial. But some studies say that it may be an allergen especially the GMO soy. Having too much of soy might give thyroid issues (more common in women than men). Taking in moderation will not affect thyroid hormones. You can try pea protein instead of soy protein, if you are worried.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Some studies have shown that excess intake of soy milk has led to reduced sperm count, decreased libido and may be importance. But consuming about 25 g of soy per day is unlikely to cause any such problem. So you can consume a lesser quantity daily. One of the possibility is soy has a lot of phytoestrogens, which may be the cause Thanks.

This is not true. But proteins are effective only if taken after strengthening exercises. Otherwise of no use. You need to take whey protein (by whatever name it comes. But it should contain 80% whey protein in it. E.g. For 30 gms it should have atleast 24 grams (80%) of protein.) use it only on the day you gym (within 10 mins of exercise). Dose is 30gms.

I want to increase my body so which proteins can be used please tel the which protein is best.
