Please advice on BGR-34 for diabetes patient. Can allopathic medicines minimised after taking this medicine?
Lybrate-user regards from me. Diabetes is of two types. Insulin dependent and non insulin dependent. Bgr34 is a ayurvedic medicine for non insulin dependent only. If you use it regularly it may lessen your dose of allopathic medicine. You should follow dietary restrictions properly and should do 40 min walk daily. Thanks.

BGR 34 is an ayurvedic supplementary medicine. Choice of antidiabetics (modern medicine) is based on duration of the disease, blood sugar levels, durability of the drug, associated complications, cost effectiveness etc. But again I said diabetic Diet and exercise equally important as a part of treatment. Regards.

I am non dependent insulin diabetes patient. Are there side effects of BGR34 if used daily?
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is not clear what you are trying to say by mentioning "I am non dependent insulin diabetes patient" Because T1 diabetes is was earlier called as Insulin dependent diabetes and T2 was called as NonInsulin dependent diabetes.(NIDDM). These terminologies are not used now a dys. It appears you have T2 DM, where many patients initially do not need Insulin injections. But most of those will o on insulin much later in life. As regards the tablet mentioned, there are no clinical trials, no studies in any hospital setting so difficult to say whether it is safe or not. Plus whether it is beneficial is itself doubtful. Thanks.

Mr Sushil Kumar, BGR - 34, tablets, is a combination of some herbal extracts, supposed to be working on diabetes mellitus. But the researchers themselves have said that it has not been tried in human beings, there are no clinical trials to show its benefits in controlling blood sugar in humans. According the details available, it has been tried only on rats, there too it has shown 67% efficacy, which is same as placebos. So there is no question of this drug being effective in treating diabetes in humans. Rest I leave it to your judgement.
