About Zocon-T Kit

This medication is a combination medicine containing a triazole antifungal and an anthelmintic. It treats fungal infections like yeast infections in the vagina including Vaginal Infection, Vaginal Candidiasis and vaginal trichomoniasis. The drug works by decreasing the production of ergosterol. It also inhibits cell membrane formation in fungi.

The kit contains one tablet of Fluconazole and 2 tablets of Tinidazole. Both Fluconazole and Tinidazole are available as a tablet for oral use. It is usually prescribed for use once in a day, taken with or without food. The duration and dosage of use varies with the health condition of the patient and the response to the drug.

Use of medication must be done with caution in patients suffering from cancer, AIDS, Torsades de Pointes or liver damage. You should not take the medicine if you are allergic to the ingredients in the medicine.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication decreases ergosterol production by disrupting the activity of cytochrome P450, inhibiting the formation of the cell membrane of susceptible fungi like Candida and Microsporum. Also, it enters into the organism and forms the free radical. A concentration gradient is created in the organism due to alteration in the molecule and promotes the influx of the molecule. Thus, the free radical and the altered molecule will interfere with the DNA synthesis and stops the growth of the organism.
