Vercold-M Tablet is prescribed to relieve the symptoms like runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, sneezing, hives that are usually related to all-year-round as well as seasonal allergies. It can be used in the form of combination therapy, meaning you may be prescribed this drug along with other medications.
The medicine blocks histamine and leukotriene (natural substances). These are the body generates during the time of an allergic reaction. Thus this medication relieves you of the symptoms of the reaction.

How does this medication work?
This medicine is a combination of levocetirizine and montelukast. They belong to the class of antihistamine and leukotriene receptor antagonist. Thus it works via dual mechanism.
Firstly, it selectively inhibits the peripheral H1 receptors thereby reducing the histamine levels in the body. And secondly, it antagonizes the action of leukotriene. It specifically acts on allergies caused in the stomach and intestine, blood vessels and airways leading to the lung.
